help!!

My laptop has stopped allowing me to click on links. i have taken off the pop up blocker but it has made no difference. It doesn't seem to register at all when i click on a link.

My oh just upgraded us to internet explorer 8, which seems to be when this happened. I spend a lot of time on the competitions board and this means I am now behind on 4 days worth of comping :eek::rotfl:

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, i really can't afford to have to pay someone to sort it for me. I expect it is probably something simple but I am a bit of a technophobe and can't work it out

Have you checked you security settings?

Tools / Internet Options. Securty tab.

I've just tried that but everything seems to be ok there. Its strange because when I click on a link it doesn't block it, it just doesn't register that I am clicking on anything?

Uninstall internet explorer 8 to see if its the cause of the problem , or try Firefox.

Have you tried resetting Internet Explorer?

Thank you all so much for your help- I've fixed it! I uninstalled it and now it is back to normal.... and oh has had a good telling off! lol

I really appreciate all of the help from everyone, it saved me lots of cash!
