A girl spilled coke on her keyboard at work. After a couple of day all the keys were working again the liquid must have dried up! Try using cotton buds to soak any surplus up. Hope this works for you.0 -
I agree, wait for 3 days (72 hours).. if the problem doesn't solve itself, the laptop leyboards are very easy to replace , just type your model number and query in google , and you will be able to find the how to do guide. ( I did the same to my IBM Thinkpad T23) , then comes buying it off, well ebay beats everyone , with new keypads starting from 10 quid . A decent offer of about 35 pounds will solve all your troubles.Inside I am THINKING.0

If the keyboard is totally removed and disconnected put it in the airing cupboard for a day or so.
Also, not recommended for keyboards with extra media features but basic keyboards used to be ok if you washed them in a bath of warm water then dried them out fully in the airing cupboard. Been a while since I did that but it cleaned up a really dirty keyboard nicely!
Given that this was a laptop, it's more important to make sure the liquid got no further than the keyboard! If you have any of those little packets of dessicant/drying agent that you get in packaging for shoes/electrical items then leave those on the laptop to assist in drying out. (Don't open the packets! They work through the paper).0
