Just emptied my purse and the little display is now showing £38.02 :-) how true the display is I'm not sure as it does have a habit of reading the wrong coin type.

Think next year I will use my yellow 2CV moneybox, as my little jar is getting quite full now....must be all those 1p's

Can't be long till we get to empty these little pots - going to use my for a post xmas treat

Hey LC, that's not a bad idea about having a guess at the total amount. I don't know about a prize, but it would certainly be interesting. Have a lovely weekend!

    Hi Sue
Think you have mixed me and Little Chicken up mind you we do both go on don't we? :D you see Sparky Stunty and yourself never gave us stars for being good so we are out to get them another way :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Evening all :-)

Just popped in here to check on when official opening day was ...see its the 2nd Dec. Getting my bags from the bank this weekend and I'm all set for the big day. Honestly, I think I'm more excited about this than Yule.

Although I've not posted regularly, I've been popping coins away with alarming frequency this year. So much so, that my pot is starting to get a tad full. I've already got myself a pot for next years challenge (please say there will be one) and will make a seamless switch across on the appointed day (before if my curent pot gets too stuffed)...nothing like being organsied, is there.;)

As an aside, I'd been saving my £2 coins seperately in a terramundi pot (along with any £10 I won in the lottery). It was jammed full (couldn't get anything in there), so I've had to empty it (money is being put in building society account towards holiday of a lifetime in US). Believe it or not, it came to £984 :D

And I didn't smash the pot either to get the coins out. I took some long handled tweezers and carefully extracted the coins. Very theraputic and feeling very virtuous as pot is now being used for next lot of £2 coins.
Debts (incl Mortgage) at LBM (24/09/08) £102849  Now £0. DFD 1st July 2019

Just found 11p in the tumble dryer so added that to my pot!

Not sure how but another 1p and 5cents has also been found. I'd like to just point out that I'm not scavenging round the house... not yet anyhow!
