    Time to declare I guess.....

    I've collected all 'shrapnel' over the year (anything under a 10p coin), and my jars are counting up as

    1p = £5.57
    2p = £7.54
    5p = £12.85

    so

    a grand total of £25.96

    Should do a lot better next year for two reasons...

    1. I intend to do more 'cash only' shopping, and less on the plastic (easier to control bank balances that way)

    2. I'm now working again, and am now employed by a supermarket meaning I have a discount card :T I intend to put my savings from that into a fourth jar, so they should bump up my figure considerably (started with 25p discount tonight, on a large bag of oven chips ;) )

    The fourth jar won't be a massive figure though, as I think I'm initially setting my 2010 grocery budget at £1530 - so if I bought everything in the store I work at it would mean around £150. But it's only a small store (for a large chain, and no easy access to a larger branch), so they don't stock anything like everything I buy - and as such I reckon half to two-thirds of my budget is still likely to be spent elsewhere :o So I reckon I'm potentially going to collect about £50-£60 in this additional pot :confused:
