Ways to log my spending! Help!

Hiya guys, i've decided enough is enough! I need to take control of my money. I have credit card debt that is mounting approx 5k and I need to take account of my spending and start paying more than the minimum amount.

Ok...A money diary is a good idea, Can anyone give me some advice. Is it as simple as a little book and noting everything down to see where cut backs should be made?

Does anyone have anything that they have done on excel that works that they can share?

I need to start, I Just don't know which is the best way.

Hi,

A spending diary is part of the solution. But for us all to help more we need to see a list of all your monthly/weekly income and your outgoings to help including the balances and APRs of all the credit cards. If you are overdrawn we need your current balance.

Thanks, i'm going to log everything i'm spending and then I can do post a correct breakdown.
