How to Invest £200k from house sale?

We are shortly going to be getting the proceeds of our house sale of about £200k. We are going to rent initially but are looking to buy again in 6 months or a years time. Can anyone suggest where this money should be put please?

You dont really want to invest it if its only available for 6 months. You would have to be really high risk in nature to consider that an option.
