Widescreen TFT too wide

Hi
Due to my old tft monitor being on the blink i've just purchased an HP Widescreen tft.
Being not too clever in this dept I've found that everything is squashed and anything which should be round is oval.

Please, please can someone help me to un-squash it - I'm desperate and hoping fervently that I haven't bought a 'pig in a poke'

Cheers for any forthcoming help (I hope!)

You should be Ok - you just need to change your screen resolution to match the native pixel count of the monitor.

How you do that depends what OS you have, but in a typical Windows setup you right-click on the desktop, choose Properties, Settings and change the resolution to match the screen - the pixel count will be on the spec, and will be something like 1280x768.
  • Wow that is fantastic - you're my hero - I can breathe again now
