B+Q Trampoline disintegrating protective pad !

Wondering if anyone else has had problems with the blue protective pad disintegrating, we have only had the trampoline 3 months and its falling apart literally !

They are getting a new pad for us but thinking it may be better taking back for a refund and getting another make.

I have had my trampoline for 8 years and 3 pads in that time so I would say that 3 months is quite short and the item is not fit for purpose i.e protection from the springs. Having said that, b & q are doing the right thing and offering a replacement so I am not sure where you would stand in taking the whole thing back if the trampoline bed itself is OK. I think the hot weather probably is the worst to shorten it's life as it makes the plastic more brittle. We haven't had much of 'hot summers' over the last 8 years so probably why mine have lasted a bit longer!!

Is it the large folding octagonal trampoline?

It is an ongoing issue, there were lots of reviews on their website...

Mine started to go after a couple of months too, but B&Q refused to do anything, saying it was a combination of sun damage and the pad not being designed to be stood on! (Er, its an outside toy, and its called a 'tramp'oline.. and how else are you supposed to get on and off it without going over the pad near the entrance?!?)

It took me ages to eventually get a replacement from ebay (as most pads are circular not octagonal) Had this one for over two years and its brill, made of much better material.

Im surprised that B&Q have not improved the design and type of material used as there have been so many complaints!
