Laptop > TV advice

I'm setting up the Samsung LCD TV (from the Grabbit thread) to play video through my laptop.

The TV has got both S-Video and D-Sub PC input.
The laptop can output in both.

I've been using the laptop and outputting on the TV screen through the D-Sub and it's crystal clear. It plays my .avi files 'ok' too.

My question is......is there any advantage now in getting an S-Video cable purely to output video files...or is the D-sub doing an identical job to the same standard ?
Would the picture be better, smoother with S-Video... ?

TIA

If you are happy with your VGA out I wouldn't bother. I don't think you will get a better picture
