cant copy and paste (Abiword)

Having a bad day not sure if I have changed anything with Abiword but I now cant copy and paste a abi doc into an email etc it lets me hightlight and copy but when i go to other doc there is no 'paste' in the pop up box.

Can anyone advise.

    Never used Abiword, but pressing Ctrl & V pastes into document usually.

    Thanks I have just tried and lets me copy and paste in explorer not firefox weird.

    At least I can do what i need to
