Paying off a credit card using another credit card?

Nice Guy - I've been racking my brains and I paid my CSMA card with either a Capital 1 or MBNA card, but I've been Googling (I don't have any cards now so didn't know about this when I posted earlier) and since then CSMA has been taken over by Goldfish and then by Barclaycard so probably no go there! But could you try what you did before, mabe a bit at a time if it works to stay under the radar or if not what about a credit card cheque from MBNA or whoever else does them if you could get a 0% on purchases deal. These count as purchase as far as I'm aware.'Yaze whit yeh hive an ye'll niver wahnt'

Normally, you cannot pay a credit card bill with another credit card. Your provider will only accept debit card payments, cash or cheques.
You can arrange to shift a cc balance to another credit card (this usually attracts a BT fee of 2-3% of the balance shifted, as I think you realise) and is classed as a balance transfer, not a purchase transaction.People who don't know their rights, don't actually have those rights.0 -
