3 Months Elec Usage In 1 Month !
We've recentley changed over from British Gas to London Energy for both gas & elec.Someone came to do a final meter reading on 19th March it read 60149 which i actualy took a photo of for proof if further problems.
On the 26th April I did an online reading for London Energy which was 61109.
I never thought anything of this until the bill came and was £60 for 38 days usage,using 960 units.:eek:
Going over our statements from the last 3 years our average usage in winter is 900 units per 1/4 (300 per month) and 500 per 1/4 summer.We're 2 adults out at work all day and out most of the weekend with the dogs.
How can we use 3 months elec in 1 month.I in no way hold British Gas or London Electric responsible as i have seen/taken these readings myself.
Rang LE and they said a possible power surge? and to take daily readings of meter.After 3 days we're using around 10 units a day.
Is there anybody with any thoughts on this ie dodgy meter/dodgy appliance and whats a power surge?Any helpwould be greatly appreciated as we're completely baffled
