There are plenty of rougher areas and working classes in Cambridge.

Not neccesarily. For a start my belief system does not permit me to accept information from a bull point of view. Then I have my reputation to think of. From my stance, debate is not here to bring about imminent change (a you say, here it has not the power to do so) but to make them understandable; that might, if there were more of us, impact more greatly over a longer term, but for now I'm happy that its making my own choices very slightly better informed.0
