got a 2nd hand pc. how to change name on registry?

whenever i open Word, Excel etc, it comes up with previous user's name..
is it easy to change so mine appears instead?

You would need to change it through the registry, or uninstall and reinstall Office.0

Office 8.0, and also Internet Explorer 5.5..

Have you considered ditching Windows and installing a Linux distribution instead?0 -
start/run/regedit. on the regedit toolbar edit then find. put in the old name and each time it finds it change it to your name.
