Sounds like someone is holding a grudge?
Surely its going to need a respray, so i'm not sure how useful washing it and sanding it down will be?0 -
Sorry to hear about your cars.
Just bought this http://www.screwfix.com/search.do;jsessionid=3ILOJXYX4214MCSTHZOSFFA?_dyncharset=UTF-8&fh_search=yale+cctv
basic cctv camera recorder for £85. Very easy to set up and covers our car adquately. You can add other cameras too.0 -
Hi
Thanks for the replys PGgilc1 we know who it is as another neighbours car was trashed this time as well and we have both had reason to complain about this individual we have lived here 20 years and my son was born in this house so I am not moving as for a respray we have just had to replace the large family car as the last one was written off as uneconomical to repair so there is no money in the pot for a respray we will have to get by by doing it ourselves as best we can.
Mum to 2 boys we are waiting with the other neighbour to speak to the crime prevention officer but will be installing cameras at some point0 -
Washing the car with copious quantities of soap and water will be enough to get rid of any corrosive substances.
That camera looks to be cheaper than another respray.0 -
pressure wash the old paint off, sand off the remaining paint in the areas you want to respray then get paint thinners to clean the surface before starting any painting. a good base coat of primer and then a few coats of matching colour with a final laquer on top.
if you cant afford a proffesional to do this then have a go yourself you cant make it any worse than it already is can you?...work permit granted!0
