your paying a lot of money for basicly a blueray player that kind of cash would get you a really nice laptop or a 24" monitor and similar speced pc0
-
Agree mostly with epz - you are paying a premium for a reduced-sized system unit (but it's not quite as small as what is often described as a 'net-top').0

Id be asking myself would i use the blu ray dvd player ? its pointless in buying it if you dont even have any blu ray dvds to play0

i want to get a top spec pc for around the £5 - £600 mark not to bothered about blu-ray as i have a ps3 but it is a added bonus... my parents bought a dell about 2 years ago and to be honest i always thought it was slow so im put off abit by that... over the last few months ive been looking at some mesh comps but they have a bad rep for customer service..just cant decide what to buy as i want to get the best for my bucks but with so much to choose from its a minefield0

Most of my PCs have been built by myself, but I used to use Dells in work and they were very quick, and I know a few people who have them as home Pcs and they all work well and are well put together.
I have an Acer laptop which is pretty good and their support is not too bad.
I I had that sort of money, I'd be looking at a Dell.
Do not add on any extras as that is where they rip you off. Buy the basic PC as configured and make any changes afterwards.0 -
I'd be looking elsewhere than dell in my experience there build quality is terrible, Some good priced compaqs around at the moment. Have a good shop around there are some really good deals possible at the moment0

wait till mid-end sept when a few core i5 speced systems will be out, you essentially get core i7 920 performance for less money.
Dells are alright, obviously it varies depending on the spec.0 -
Dell is good (cheap and robust machines) - have had my e520 since April 2007 without problems and recommended a mate to get a dell pc in 2006 and its still going ok (needs more memory in his pc now).0

these are a few ive been looking at recently.. but what seems a good spec then seems to be let down by graphics card or some other component
