What has been your experience on buying digital camera on eBay? I have seen quite a few unbranded digital cameras, has anyone purchased a unbranded digital camera?
Thanks

I've just bought a new digital camera and decided against using ebay. A lot of the auctions appeared to be overseas sellers and I was concerned about problems if camera should develop a fault within a few months.
If you do go down the ebay route make sure you know how you are covered if camera goes wrong. Many of the auctions say 'a years guarantee' or something, but how can you actually enforce that..especially if it turns out you are dealing with a non UK drop shipper?
The last camera I bought was fine for a couple of months but then suddenly developed a focus problem, I took it back to Boots and they changed it there and then for a new one...and it has been fine ever since.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. If your looking for a compact camera I would advise going to s good shop. Then you could at least see if the camera has the features that you want. The problem with so many cameras on ebay is they come from china and the named ones you do not know if they are fake or not. If you have a problem returning them can be a bit of a nightmare.
The only camera stuff I have ever bought of ebay was some lenses for one of my DSLRs and that was a uk private seller with no problems0
