Afternoon all - sorry I havent been about much today, I had a 9am meeting at the chamber of commerce and my confidence has been boosted as now I know what to charge people and what commission to ask for:cool: This afternoon, I have been mainly networking online, making calls and catching up on emails - as from Monday I will have an 0845 number which goes to my mobile (cost 12p a minute - no point it going to the landline as that is in the other room and I am not about to keep jumping up and down like a sandfly to answer it). It pays to talk as the 0845 man has put me in touch with a recording studio and is putting me in touch with his cousin's partner who works for Yoko Ono and Paul McCartney...all this is for the band that I have been invited to manage/publicise (Harvey Goldsmith eat your heart out:rotfl:).

Welcome Liz - join in the banter on here - bumps are always needed.

Well done Rog on your negotiation with Tatco.:j

Evening all! Hello Blondieliz and welcome to the asylum!
Lula - go easy with all that leaf raking, I heard of a bloke who saved all his garden leaves, letting them rot down into leafmould. When he opened the bag, a nice little fungal organism called aspergillis had developed in the leaves. He caught it, it caused a serious pneumonia and he ended up in intensive care and ultimately dying. And all for the benefit of his garden! So be careful out there missus! On a lighter note - Horace, you rock chick you! Sounds like your life is taking off in new directions. Have a good evening all.

    Evening all,

thanks for your words of wisdom Nargleblast :A

I am aware of this occurrence thankfully as when I once remarked to my sister how I loved to smell my compost bin ( ok Numpty, I admit that is completely barking :o) she freaked out & told me a similar story about spores etc... I've not stuck my head in there since .

will just have to get "high on diesel & gasoline" eh Numpty ;)

I have been devious with the 0845 number - as I realised that it was costing me 12p (stuff that for a game of soldiers), so I have asked that it point at my landline instead (it never rings anyway) - I just want some information from the guy supplying the number and when I get it, I can wait awhile and say that I no longer want the flippin' number:D

I have always been a rock chick - I am the daughter of a rocker:D

    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P
