Hi all - it has been one of those days, I cancelled a mystery shop because to be honest I don't want a Prada handbag:rolleyes: I had to wait an age at the eye hospital because of some nincompoop receptionist so my consultant asked me to make a complaint so I have - I sent off a nice 2 page jobby so let's see if I get a response. I had to carry my umbrella round today but didnt actually need to use it - guess that must be murphy's law or some other silly law of averages which means that if I had left it at home then I would have gotten wet:rolleyes:

I have a packet of bran flakes - what can I make with them?

    Good morning everyone.

Bran flakes - suggest crush them and use them in muffins and biscuit recipes. Should be quite nice. Especially with a cup of tea served out of the bone china teaset with your little finger in the air.......

    Happy debt busting everyone!

    Morning All

A 'heathly' version of cornflake/rice crispie cakes?
I have used special K in the past but don't know if branflakes would work.
Or maybe they would make 'branflake brownies' instead of weetabix?

    Good afternoon all.

Good job you got your post today, Numpty, seeing as postie will have a day off tomorrow. Hope the situation gets resolved soon - whatever the background to it all, I know that people do not choose to go on strike for the sheer hell of it, it is usually a last resort. Our postie is brilliant, I would hate to see the service run down.

Tixy - well done there, keep zapping those spammers and trolls!

Having spoken to a postman (hunk is one) then I can see now why they are going on strike. Their contracts are bad..basically their contracts say that they have to work a minimum of one hour a day (for some reason called 1hr contracts). They have additional streets added to their rounds which they physically cannot get round in the alloted time and then they get into trouble for not delivering to these extra streets. I can also see the Royal Mail's side of the argument too about the need to modernise but I don't think that they have done themselves any favours by employing 30,000 temps - double the amount they normally hire around this time whilst they are having staffing issues which they put down to lack of money..if they can afford expensive temps then they can afford to pay their staff and not work them into the ground.

I must admit that I like my postman as when he has a larger sized envelope to deliver, he rings the bell to be let in and he brings it and the rest of my post to me:D
