I certainly don't think the monthly challenges such as NSD and £10 a day should be on the diary board. Sometimes they are the first threads people post on. Well actually I don't think any challenges should be there.

Where have the challanges and |Lulas thread gone:confused:

    Quite

it's an outrage  I dont want to be mixing with the hoi poloi of DFW :rotfl: - JUST KIDDING before I get lynched & barred .

do agreee with Tixy about challenges though, many read & post on there first. Also never thought the Single & In Debt thread should be over there as a diary. It's not, it's a place where singles discuss important things like clothes, shoes, wine, books, chocolate & money saving & buying houses etc. It's not even all peeps who are either single or in debt .

Oh well, I have other things to concern me such as : where has my email gone :confused:something to do with not connecting to my pop3 server or some type of proxy error grrrrrr I've fiddled & done all the trouble shooting I can but still nothing, will have to go see the techies if it doesnt return soon.
  • I think its means yet more expeienced posters not looking at the main DFW board:confused::rolleyes:

Good afternoon all, rescued this thread from page 2. Thanks for suggestions to beat the boredom, Numpty, will do some surfing later and see if I can make some dosh. (You know how it is, with the C word looming everywhere, though in our house people are forbidden to mention it before November on pain of having turkey stuffed ....where the sun don't shine.)

In my family it has to be 1st December before you can say the word or even refer to it.

    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the far right hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

It would have been dreadful if you had meant the poorly C word and I had misread - actually at first glance I thought you meant the offensive one but then actually read the post to realise you meant the 'not to be mentioned yet' one.

Glad you are maintaining your ladylike-ness (hmmm that sounds wrong I mean glad you are maintaining your dignity with a sore bum) :rotfl:

On another topic -if they keep moving all the threads away us bumpers will be redundant and what will I do all day :eek:

Cheers Tixy. I am normally full of busy, always on the go, so am having to learn how to chill out and take things sl-o-wl-y for a while.

And yes, I meant the C word that is sometimes called the X word for short - ho ho blooming ho! Wash your brain out with soap and water Numpty!!
