Morning all. I have done something really dumb this morning - I messed around with the fancy plug in my bathroom basin, I thought the nut on the bottom was too loose so I tightened it and put the thing back in the plughole which has now sealed up and the little lever I use for opening and closing the plughole moves but doesnt release the plug:mad: Now I am completely stuffed as I cannot work out how to get the thing out so that I can release the stupid screw:o

You might have to go under the basin and undo a little nut so you can realign the plug hole bit to your lever:confused:

    hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a troll? a troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
we really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all please please please do not leave the boards. This site is an asset to so many, especially when it feels the world is falling in on you. There is such a wealth of advice here to be had that the comments of one must not deter you from availing yourself of the knowledge here!!!!

it is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

please do not let the actions of the minority ruin that.

    kind wishes

I can see what I need to do and need to borrow a spanner or a wrench as the nut is a bit too tight for Horace's little fingers:rolleyes: I do happen to have a friendly landlord but I am hoping to con some mug into helping me with it:rotfl:

Nargle - I can still have a bath or a shower..that plughole has a proper plug not one of these daft mechanical ones:rolleyes:

I went out today - I took myself off to Pershore and treated myself to lunch out - a nice little cafe near the Abbey where I had jacket spod with cheese and side salad and a pot of real english breafast tea..you could tell the tea was real it came with a tea strainer:eek: - it was jolly nice and I had change from a fiver:D I also treated myself to a lilac patent leather italian handbag for £20 reduced from £45 and it will go with a few items that I have at home. I got some nice bread - a cottage loaf and some rye bread (which I hope is nice having never had any before), a bag of local plums and a bag of local Worcester Permain apples. i mooched in the charity shops too but didnt see anything that I liked - Pershore has a better class of label in its charity shops:D I then ventured into a junk shop...and ended up spending £7.50 on two items of carnival glass - one red bowl and the other in clam chowder (which is a smoky brown/grey colour and quite rare)..I shall carefully wash them but won't add them to my collection as I will see if I can sell them at the Glass Fair in November:cool: I havent bought any carnival glass for a long time now as I know stuffed my parents' loft is a crate or two containing about 300 assorted pieces of carnival glass (almost my entire collection).

    hmmmm

Numpty, you must keep a record of all that shenangigans you posted about. I would suggest contacting MP or CAB as it's disgraceful that you are being treated like this. The idiots obviously cant do their job & should be sacked immediately & you should be the replacement ;).

Good luck with the rye bread Horace - I cant bear the stuff, like eating a salty brick :(
