    tis a burger

You could fit a replacement yourself;)
If you paid attention to how he got the door panel off:o
    thats the tricky part:D

Most replacement motors are held in place with a few screws and the conectors are just plugs

Numpty, when it comes to mechanical stuff I have no manual dexterity at all. Banana-fingers, that's what I am. If I took a car apart and put it back together again I would be standing there holding a steering wheel in my hand and asking "where does this bit go?" Perhaps I should have done a car maintenance course at school?

Nargle, I know exactly what you mean about banana fingers :D I was overly excited when I managed to chande the brake light bulb al by myself!

And I was tempted to go on a car maintenance course (had a 10 year old golf at the time - I loved that car!). But I opted for a lease car instead, now I just need to drive it into the garage and get them to do it all. Probably not the best way to learn :p but hey ho, life's too short :D

Hope all are well... I'm supposed to be either at the gym or swimming just now... shhhh ;)

Have just heard that the motor will be £230 plus victim-added tax. Have been strongly advised by man at the garage to try the internet for a cheaper one and let him know when I get one and he'll fit it. Oh, well, surfing here I come.....where did I put my wetsuit and flippers?

    Hi everybody.

Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.

What is a Troll? A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made.

If you should get a comment made on any thread you post asking for help and advice please realise this comment is not directed at you personally.
We really are all a lovely bunch here (oops, modest, sorry) so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal.

what should i do if i get a comment made on my thread?

firstly do not respond to the comment as this invariably is what the person wants. At the bottom of the post, on the left hand side is a red "warning" triangle. Click this and then "send" the message that comes up. This will report the message to abuse who will review it's content and delete it.

The person we had this morning was particularly vile and nasty and please believe me is an extreme rarity here.
Above all PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE BOARDS. THIS SITE IS AN ASSET TO SO MANY, ESPECIALLY WHEN IT FEELS THE WORLD IS FALLING IN ON YOU. THERE IS SUCH A WEALTH OF ADVICE HERE TO BE HAD THAT THE COMMENTS OF ONE MUST NOT DETER YOU FROM AVAILING YOURSELF OF THE KNOWLEDGE HERE!!!!

It is testament to the work that martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time knowledge and experience freely to others, without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of debt crisis

PLEASE DO NOT LET THE ACTIONS OF THE MINORITY RUIN THAT.

    Kind wishes
    P

Afternoon all...excuse me if I doze off but I am rather tired.

Went to the Spring Fair today and discovered that where the return ticket used to cost £4.90 - it had gone up to £7.90:eek: but all was not lost the nice man at the ticket office sold me a cheaper ticket for £6.50 which could be used on the buses as well. I caught a total of 4 trains (2 there and 2 back) and nobody checked my ticket once:mad:

Had a free choc from Thorntons, 3 free cards from a swedish chap (lovely cards with photographs of flowers on them - the front is the flower in closeup and back of the card is a distance shot. He has a minimum order limit of 1 pack which contains 20 cards:j, made contact with a few card suppliers who also sell in small quantities so soon I will be selling wedding cards and wrapping paper and I may even do favours as well and certainly will be able to sell favour boxes. I also had another idea to buy a gadget for £77.00:eek: for me to make my own favours so that they are perfect every time rather than do it free hand in which case cackyhandedness reigns:eek: Had to buy something to eat whilst there and cursed everything when I realised that I had left my LVs in my other handbag:mad: LVs meant free food too:mad::mad: Might go back at the end of the week so watch this space.
