Setting up Vista on my new lappy and seem to have deleted all the shortcuts to Windows Mail.

I know the program is there, 'cos if I go to Start / Run and type in WINMAIL up it pops but I can't find it anywhere !!!!!!!

Any ideas?

    It's here:

    C:\Program Files\Windows Mail\WinMail.exe

    Just browse to it and drag to your quicklink toolbar or create a desktop shortcut.

    Not shown in the directory, even when set to show hidden files.

    Put C:\Program Files\Windows Mail\WinMail.exe into Explorer and up it pops.

    There must be a setting somewhere that I've managed to set to hide it.

    Anyone got any ideas?

    johnmc, you should start using Windows Live Mail which supercedes Windows Mail

    See here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Live_Mail

    I looked at it and didn't like the way it;
    1 seperates my half dozen email accounts. Far prefer the "old" style.
    2 need to sign up to a load of stuff I will never use.

    If I can't get Winmail back, what other mail clients do others use?

    the look is dependent somewhat on your windows theme - you can customize windows live mail a bit. It may look glossy - its not exactly to my taste but it is the version that is recommended for use.

    Other clients thunderbird - google it.
