Hoping someone can shed some light on problem we are having at my Grans bungalow
She has two televisions, one in the lounge and one in her bedroom. The television in the lounge is on Freesat and the one in her bedroom is still just analogue (but its a digital ready tv)
She asked me to have a look at them earlier as the volume is acting odd on both televisions. I just cant get my head round it as dont see how this can be as they are as far as I know not connected?!
We have now got both televisions on top volumes and still they are only just able to be heard by myself - and my gran struggles to hear anything at all
Has anyone any ideas?
Thanks

thanks for these answers,
mute button Ive definately ruled out
the others I will have to check when I go to see her tomorrow
will take one of the televisions from our house to see if that works
its just puzzled us so much as the two televisions are practically unrelated
the other difference is that the television in the bedroom which is digital ready but still on analogue is a flat screen lcd tv whereas the one in the living room is on freesat and is one of the old style types with a big back?!Weight Loss - 102lb0 -
Hotel mode? This will set a maximum volume level predetermined by the user/administrator - it could have been somehow activated.Try saying "I have under-a-pound in my wallet" and listen to people react!0

What do they sound like if you plug in headphones? OK with them?
If so she could have been using them at a very loud volume and blown the speakers

wonder if thats possible as she does use the volume very loud?
The other thing I just remembered is that the tv in the living room had Freesat installed through the digital help scheme for the elderly and includes 12 months aftercare, was only installed a month since so think may get in touch with them and see if they will come out?Weight Loss - 102lb0
