My dad went to a surprise wedding like this, he thought it was great.
I think you should let the kids in on it though, don't know how old they are but it could be a bit much to handle. I got upset at my dad's wedding when I was 11, and I'd been really excited about it.Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

There is an episode of Whose Wedding is it Anyway where the groom invites everyone to a surprise 40th b-day party for the bride. It's really their wedding.0
