Oh dear.. Switching !!!! up?
Hi,
I am currently in the process of switching from Npower to BG for my Electricity and Equigas/Ebico for my Gas.
I got the start date for the Electricity and gave the meeting reading to BG (24th April) and as yet don't have a start date for the Gas with Equigas/Ebico.
Just got a letter on Saturday (dated the 27th) from Npower saying:
Sorry you are leaving, Your new supplier has notified us they have taken over you gas supply.....
Errrrr? What the! It looks to me like either BG have messed up by killing my Gas supply and not Electricity, Npower have messed up by getting it wrong at their end, or Equigas have messed up and switched me without notifying me all the details.
What a mess.
I'll have to call Ebico on Tuesday to see whats going on, if they don't know then onto BG we go, should I call Npower and ask them who exactly has taken over my Gas supply as the letter does not state it? Or should I not involve Npower at all, ie will it confuse things and then they will assume I am not switching, when I am.. hehehe

Hi stormy, I am doing exactly the same as you, BG online for electricity and Ebico for my gas, I dont think you need to worry I am sure all that means is that Ebico have contacted them to say that you will be switching therefore it is in the process, I contacted Ebico myself as the same happened to me, pressumably before you were with Npower for both so they will have had both ebico and BG contact them.

Well what worries me is that I got it says "Your new supplier has notified us they have taken over you gas supply..... " but so far I dont actually have a start date with Ebico..0
