As the title says. You are unable to set a monthly credit limit on o2 contract mobiles.
They did offer this facility many years ago but decided to remove it.
They have No plans to reinstate this facility even though they get a lot of requests for it, so a big thumbs down to them.

In fairness, I can't see the incentive for them to offer this service as it then limits the amount of money coming in to them. I can see how it would be annoying, but I imagine it's not worth their while as they rely on cheeky teens, drunk dialling and the like to cash in come billing time! I suppose it offers all the benefits of PAYG without any of the drawbacks though...0

It's if a phone gets lost or stolen huge bill can be run up before the phone can be reported stolen, even if it is reported quickly and especially if the phone is being taken abroad.£2 Coins Savings Club 2012 is £4

id imagine that there is a credit limit on there accounts for this sort of thing but not one that you can set the limit to as that wouldnt make sense business wise0 -
There are personal credit limits that will flag up on the system to bar.
i.e someone with a not-very-good rating - their account might get flagged at £500 whereas someone with a much better score won't get flagged until much higher.
But you personally cannot set a limit..

I prefer my PAYG with O2, it allows me to set my own credit limit, if I exceed it, I simply run out of credit and cannot phone anyone till I top it back up again. Ive never as yet exceeded my limit in the 12 years I've had it.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

I wish they did have pre set linits last xmas when DD's £25.00pm went to £125.00, not amused as I pay for it.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0
