there are genuine cases of 'sorry i forgot to pay' !
I have seen them myself as a shop worker of over 30 years experience - but - some stores have policy of 'we always prosecute shoplifters' some genuine cases get taken to court
for example - a lady and her friend were shopping lol the friend decides to try on her find on a friends back as they were same size - it fitted! but she got distracted by another jumper they discussed it yeah they would get it! they paid for jumper - but walked out of store with jumper no1 still on friends back.
I saw all this - and ran after them asked them to return to store - the manager could have charged them with shoplifting - it was store policy - but decided it was mistake. was he wrong?0 -

i forgot to say - we had real probs in this store with shoplifting - and if police were called we nearly always had to go to court. but there were loads of time that customers would come to tills with things they came back for to pay! the only time i can remember we caught a serial shoplifter (we knew it was her - but only caught her the once) it didnt go to court - turned out to be a policemans wife. and we only knew that cos another policemans wife worked for us and recognised her!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0

Curtain-twichers please note, in this country you are innocent until proved guilty..... I know it's difficult for people like you not to judge others...0
