Best car warranty?

My manufacturers warranty is due to run out on my Vectra - and ws wondering what, if any, organistions provide a decent warranty scheme? Was looking at Tesco, at £339 for the full package doesn't seem too bad...

Anyone got any experience of these, or know of any other decent providers?

Cheers

Have vauxhall written to you about their scheme?

    http://www.vauxhall.co.uk/vaux/pages/owners/vehicleWarranty/extendedWarranty/index.jsp

It is less than £399 and you can pay interest free.

I haven't bothered on my Astra as the limit is 20,000 miles a year and I will cover more than this.

I'd say manfacturers extension is better than Tesco.

Have you kept up the servicing inline with recommnedations?

3rd party warranties are not worth the paper they are written on. Search in this forum and you'll find plenty of examples.

If you car is just near end of its warranty period, you can often extend warranty by paying a fee to manufacturer.
Happiness is buying an item and then not checking its price after a month to discover it was reduced further.

Based on actual experience, as opposed to heresay, i'd recomment warranty direct.

Tip - plug in all your details, get to the very last screen, then hit cancel. Within 24hrs they'll come back with approx 20% drop and 4 months interest free credit.

    Interesting!

I bought the car 12 months ago, (56 plate) with no service history. So far, vauxhall have completed 2 repairs (new EGR valve and new alternator) on the warranty, so they've been pretty good - although they do drop hints at the service history...

I will speak to them next week (when I pick it up from MOT and alternator repair (long story)) about an extended warranty!!

    Cheers
