I've not used this particular one but what I have found with all these systems is that the quality of the print is never as good as a proper cartridge. If your willing to sacrifice the quality they do save mo0

I was planning to try one a while ago, but was put off by what Which? had to say about CIS in general.
They said that their testers had tried several different makes and were not satisfied with any. The two main problem they mentioned were ink leaks and air bubbles/air locks.0 -
I hav usd CISS with my printers for about 3 years. I have two canon printers(IP4200 & IP5200) and an old Epson 1290 printer.
CISS can be a bit fiddly to get installed and working, but once running are fine - issues with set up tend to be around air locks (As fwor mentioned). Get one with the cartridges prefilled if you can.The IP5200 is on it's second CISS because one of the ink pipes snapped at the cartridge end after about 18 months.
I've never had any issues with print quality -the Canons are used to print calendars (around 150 x 13 A4 photos) - it is important to get decent ink, and you may need to spend a bit of time getting the colour balance right if you want photos to look ok.
Shop around a bit as well, as I've found the same system on sale for wildy different prices.0
