simmering granules

I wondered if anybody had used these in their oil burners..i used to buy them @ £1.20 a time and the smell lasted forever but money is tighter so i had a go at making them myself from sea salt(had to taste) :eek: and essential oils but after about 30 mins i could only smell salt
does anybody know how to make them properly

no idea on how to make them myself but I think all of the Simmering Granules come in oil form too? if not then find alternatives and start using oil in the oil burners. TO make the smell last longer then use the oil in little oil thingies in the radiators. I find they last much longer on there than in the oil burner and it's much cheaper too Even if there are SOME scents I miss from the simmering range *sigh*

On the other hand I'm reasonably lucky as a friend of mine runs a shop that stocks them so I usually get the broken bags
