Morning Chaps,
I've been using the above service via my landline for a couple of years at least. Also have my mother as a 'nominated' user - her bill is paid within ours each month.

Looking at the itemised invoice, showing all calls made, it's clear that CALL18866 are CHARGING for EVERY call that's dialled, even if they don't answer!! Is this only us, or do other users get charged in this way??

Example, I call a number 10 times, never answered, NO answerphone kicks in yet am charged 5p EACH TIME!! OK, 50p isn't gonna break MY bank but annoying all the same.

Can I have your views on this please?

Thanks for reading,

L

can I assume no one knows the answer to this one then? No point asking call18866 - no phone numbers for 'em and email ... well ... they might EVENTUALLY answer...

18866 calls are subject to a 5p connection fee.

May be it's the connection from your phone to 18866 that they charge for, so you're charged 5p just to phone 18866

    Thanks sooler for answering.

No, they don't state in their T & Cs that they charge in that way, so question is - WHY should they charge a CONNECTION fee when a call is clearly NOT connected??

You should only pay connection charge if your connected to something.

So - How do I make call18866 aware that they're charging like this? Has anyone else had these problems?? DO they just charge as a matter of course hoping no one queries it??

AHHH!!! Just found in the T&Cs of CALL18866 ::

When do call charges take effect?

Call charges take effect once you are connected to the telephone number you have dialled i.e once the call has been answered. If there is no answer or the line is engaged you will not be charged for the call

BUT - how the hell does one contact them?? Can't find any contact details at all!!!!!

    HELP!!!!
