surely it should be replaced?
can i reject the item and how do i stand??
thanks

Legally they are required to offer you a replacement or a repair, which ever THEY see as the best/most cost effective option.
It is very unlikely they will allow you to reject it, as you have been using it for 4 months...
But TBQH, if it is as damaged/faulty as you say, they might well replace it for you instead of repairing, as this might be the most cost effective way of resolving...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

thanks hun....they are gonna pick it up asap but they said it will be middle of next week - am gonna have to go buy a vac till then as cant go that long without so, i phoned the catalogue and they said if they arrange for a replacement because its broke i can have a credit to my account instead.....fingers crossed they cant repair it then.....feel so badly done by when something breaks so quick and they wont replace...am steering clear of vax now and am gonna go to argos for the new one today....(should i risk one of them £15 ones they have lol?)0

To be honest, for 25 quid, you can't do wrong with this:

I have one of the older models (had it for nearly 2 years) and have never had a problem...If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands

If you have orknow someone with a makro card, you can get a decent vax upright for about 30 quid plus vat..
I recently got the mach 1 upright with a 6 year warranty for 49.99 plus vat.
Worth taking a look, because unlike dyson where the prices are all roughly the same, with vax, you will see a vacuum for £150 somehwere and then go to a wholesaler and see it for a fraction of this price.0
