The area I live in has dropped 10%. I'm sure my tracker has saved me that much in the past year and will continue to do for another 12 to 18 months. I'm quids in. I must be a money saving expert:j Which is nice to know because the first post I made on this board (when it was a sub board) resulted in me being called a "money saving idiot".:rotfl::rotfl:If I'd listened to all those who'd told me I should STR I would have lost a packet. ooooo I seem to be feeling a little bit off schadenfreude:D

    In the months February 2009
    to May 2009, transaction
    volumes averaged 35,848
    transactions per month. This
is a decrease from the same
    period last year, when sales
    volumes averaged 61,743.

    Interesting

Indeed. Considerably less people are paying more. All those VI’s and rampers really are powerful.

To be fair it is a few months behind, so providing confirmation of the other index figures. It may just be enough to build confidence and loosen the purse strings og the banks, it is a confidence game after all.

Plus the ending of stamp duty holiday at end of December might create a flury of activity as people try to buy before it's reintroduction.

Another positive release - another thread full of people gloating about others being locked out of the property market.

    Lovely.

Makes a change from people gloating about repossessions, unemployment and cheering falls in GDP;)

I had a look at your history to view the post you're referring to, but couldn't find it. I did notice that until you posted a single post yesterday and numerous today, you hadn't posted since Dec 2008!

Where have you been all this time? Or do you post under other usernames?

Oh! You've just logged off after reading this post. Oh well, see you at Christmas time!! :)
