Stolen Zafira spare wheels

I recently had my spare stolen from the cage underneath the vehicle by some low life Cost me £200 to replace -New wheel from Vaxhall +tyre . I have decided not to put the spare back under the care so it can be stolen again . Vaxhall recommended tyre repair kit . Compresser that works off the cig lighter + special glue and all different tubes etc =£100 trouble is once you pump the glue into the damaged tyre , you can only drive for approx 100 miles and no faster than 45 mph and it can`t be repaired at the tyre dept . Im going to keep my brand new spare at home and when driving around Bristol keep the glue /compresser in the car . For journeys outside of Bristol I will take the spare in the back of the car (no boot as such in Zafira) . I would never had purchased a Vaxhall in the first place if I was going to be subjected to all this fuss . As for the person who stole the spare ..I hope he burns in hell! :mad:

Why not just buy a lock kit?

Just convert it to LPG, and shove a gas tank underneath and then pack some tyreweld. Its fine for most common punctures, got me to garage twice. No one will pinch your LPG tank and it'll half your running costs. Sorted. ;-)

i bought a space saver wheel and tyre for 99p from ebay (brand new and not stolen). bought a nylon wheel cover for a fiver and 2 bungee cords. now the wheel sits up against the side in the back strapped to 4 mounting points . the zafira has these mounting points behind some small plastic covers. still plenty of room in the back aswell .

My 206 has an under slung space saver. Last time I checked it was still there.

I'm thinking about getting a second hand full size rim with tyre off eBay cheap and keep it in the boot. Even a scrappy 3mm thread tyre will do.

I've not had a puncture before but I know people who have had a few this year already. I would rather pull out a full size wheel from the boot than have to crawl under the car at the side of the road in the middle of winter.

the seller used to have a zafira, and what ive noticed is when people get rid of their car they take stuff out and sell it seperately, anything that doesnt come as standard and costs a lot to buy new. as an example 2nd hand zafira mats are nearly as much as new ones.
