which is best for prepayment meters

I have just had my electric meter changed to one of them new up dated prepayment meters i am with british gas . I ailways have had a prepayment meter i know its dearer this way but i have known how much i use each fortnight in the summer about £6.00 a fortnight and it never goes on emergancy.
well i put £15 in last thurs and looked at my meter and got a shook i have used £12.00 in one week :eek: so now i want to know which is best company for prepayment meters as i am not happy with british gas there is no way i use that much in a week well in the winter i use £10 a fortnight so how comes it has gone up ? as nothing has changed in my house :confused:

Just been on to british gas they have got me on the wrong tarrif ? saying i have got storage heating ? dont know were they got that from as i have lived here for 20 yrs never has storage heaters ?
so i wonder if i hadnt of phoned up wot would of happend . so when ppl have this new meter put in check they have you on the right tarrif ?

    Ebico don't charge more for those on prepayment meters, If you are a low user as well they may be worth looking at.
    That gum you like is coming back in style.

    If you have just changed from a paper token meter to a key meter, it is possible that your old meter had old price on it, but your new one has current prices.
    look at the meter screens to see the price of electricity (p/kWh) (I & K I think).
    If you have a year's consumption, use that in a comparison site, if not you could guess ('average' is 3300), but when you get your results, compare the unti price with that on your meter.
