Replacement Ink Cartridges HELP

I have an Epson Stylus Photo R300 printer. I recently purchased replacement inks for it. However, even after I've replaced the cartridges the maintenance light still flashes. I can't work out why it does this. I tried the 'head cleaning' option but I just get the message saying ink is to low.
Can anyone advise me of what to do?

Have you tried rebooting maybe?
Is the printer screen saying anything or is it just the monitoring thingy on your monitor screen3.78 kWp PV SolarEdge with iBoost South facing.

If you used compatibles sometimes they dont use the ink level contacts so it wont know you have changed them0

It's the actual display on the printer that is displaying the messages.
They aren't the genuine Epson ink cartridges. It says Pro jet on them.-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

this might breathe new life into your old cartridges if you still have them.Ever get the feeling you are wasting your time? :rolleyes:0 -
Hi
I'm also using compatible cartridges and the printer does recognise them same as the real thing.
Have you charged the cartridges up after installing them by pressing the maintenance button. This is the small to the right of the power button.0 -
Use the link provided by Albertross this goes for anyone using epson printer way better than the software provided with the printer.0

No, I no longer have all the old Epson cartridges.
I didn't realize that all of the cartridges had to be the same brand. I had 5 compatibles and 1 Epson. They are all now compatibles and the maintenance light doesn't come up.
Thanks for your help guys-->♥<-- Sugar Coated Owl -->♥<--

phoenix direct uk is one of the cheapest companies for cartridges.ALSO you will need a 'chip resetter' cost around £6 this restores the ink levels back to 'full' again, otherwise they still dont work after you refill them, their is other ways but you will have to do a thorough search in googlenever put off buying a bargain today,it may be gone tomorrow0
