Sounds like it's the leading auction site for collectables though..."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

Looks to be a bit of a mecca for postcard people..."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

The postcard people were out in force on ebid at one point as they felt penalised with all the new rules on ebay as their routine items tend to go cheaply, yet every now and then they will get a mega seller. When basic listing fees and shop prices went up they could barely manage. They appear to have drifted away from ebid as well, there are a couple of sellers left but no where near the huge influx they had at one point.
Maybe Delcampe is their logical next step, especially as there are a lot of potential collectors in the US.
I don't believe there will be a viable alternative to ebay in the near future, however, I do strongly believe that a niche market place could get some foot hold. If Delcampe can hold onto and bring in more postcard collectors they in turn may bring in other 'small' item collectors as they all have easy worldwide shipping. They could easily be a real alternative to ebay in that field.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. The market will just fragment, with specilist sites like Delcampe and Etsy picking off the approriate markets for certian items.
Ebid's missed the boat, they should have advertised when all the ebay changes kicked off, but I fear they'll go the same way as Tazbar..."Love you Dave Brooker! x"

They missed the boat a long time ago. They needed to get rid of the image of just being full of disgruntled ex ebay sellers. There main problem has always been trying to atrract buyers0
