Orange Wednesdays

Has anyone had this happen to them? My daughter wanted to go our local showcase cinema to see a film with friends. As it was a Wednesday, I thought I would also go but see a different film. However when I gave my orange code, I was told by a member of staff that you can only buy tickets for the same film with this promotion. She said the idea was that you share a film together. Fair enough but can't see this mentioned on the website.
