Hi everyone. Moved my (my pictures) folder to another directory and the link disappeared from the start menu without me being able to get it back. What can I do? any help would be appreciated.
Do I want it? ......Do I need it? ......What would happen if I don't buy it??????

If you have XP right click on the Start button, select Properties --> Start Menu tab --> Customize.... --> Advanced tab and then scroll down the list of Start Menu Items to reselect My Pictures

Click ...start...search [for files and folders...select all files and folders...type My Pictures in the top search box ... click search]
Right click on the top result and select properties and this will give you its current location
Navigate to this location and drag and drop back to your My Documents folder then follow Toxteth O'Grady's How to above

I'm also sure that there is a quicker and simpler way of doing it as well - but that's how I usually locate stuff I've lost

    hope it helps

Download TweakUI from Microsoft's website and use that to select the location of your "My Pictures" folder.

If you know where the folder is you can click and drag it onto the start menu.

Thanks to all of you guys for your replies. Unfortunately I still can't manage to get my pictues back to the start menu. I don't want to move the folder back to my documents (its original position) as I have moved it from their into a different partition as I was running out of HD space. Dragging and dropping doesn't allow me to put the folder where it was on the start menu (near My Document, My Music, Control panel...etc.) and I tried tweakUI but that only give me the option to put applications on the frequently used menu and not where I actually want the folder (and not application) to go to. I'll leave it in its new place for now as I think this is one of these windows things that should be very simple but are actually not.
