Sent OH to get the shopping as I have been working all weekend to get outstanding work finished so I can get paid, OH only got the bare minimum so that was good money saving.Official DFW Nerd - Member no. 045

Washing yesterday and today done on Economy 7 - all dried on the line, so no using tumble dryer.
Took DS swimming yesterday afternoon (£4.80) for 2.5 hours. Had BOGOF pizza for tea. Did some tidying up in the garden.
Today, have cleaned the car inside and out. Used stardrops and microfibre cloths inside and it's gleaming! Also got the passenger seat clean too, which is a miracle!
Been to see parents and had tea with them. They've given DS saved up pocket money and he's after a specific toy. Guess we're heading to Toys'R'Us tomorrow then!Back on the DFW Wagon:
CC - £3,300 on 0% til 04/2020
CC - £4,500 on 0% til 02/2019
Loan - £12,063.84 as at 4/1/180 -
Really struggling to think of something! DS and I planted some Pansy seeds which I got as a freebie online weeks ago.
Ali reminded that my washing is loaded and ready to go. I've left it so DP can put it on when he wakes around 6am therefore it will be during the Economy 7 time.
My cupboards are looking very bare, I'm hoping I can find food to last till Wednesday which is my shopping day. I think my first month of doing the grocery challenge is starting to show, everything is very low.Nevermind the dog, beware of the kids!0 -

Was going to do a car boot this morning, but decided last night when we were at a wedding party that it was not going to happen.
My husbands parents took us out for Sunday lunch today as my brother and soon to be sister in law were visiting for the wedding yesterday...so that was a nice sunday dinner all paid for...feel slightly guilty, but when we offered to pay for our share FIL wouldn't hear of it.
More good news, was visiting friends this evening, and telling them about the car boot we were meant to do, and my friend said 'Do you want to sell my Breadmaker?'...This week I have been looking for a breadmaker (having read all the old style boards) and now I am going to have one for free!!! Can't believe how lucky I am! She is very glad to get rid of it too as she doesn't use it.
Have a good bank holiday monday everyone!0 -
Good DFW weekend so far
I did two loads of washing on Economy7
I cooked and froze a chicken curry (2 portions), a chickpea curry (4 portions) - thanks for the recipe LookingAhead :T - and a 3 bean potage (4 portions)
I spend nothing today and did lots of cleaning/tidying up which resulted in lots of items to be auctioned. I just have to list them now
Also, parceled up a CD that I sold on Amazon yesterday.
Overall, an excellent weekend so far and lots of time spent with OHFeels great not to have to go to work tomorrow!
Leason learnt :beer:0
