Fund raising Ideas, for an entertainment dance troupe.

Hi

Im just looking for some help and advice from some knowledgeable people. My Young daughters are members of a local dance troupe located in Manchester they often attend competitions and hire a coach which costs £350 a time (which is alot of money) we are not a registered charity nor do we pose ourselves to be one so this are where the problems start.
I’m looking for ideas on raising some money for the dance troupe to ultimately buy their own mini bus/coach.
Im trying to organise a sponsored bungee jump which I myself is going to participate in (eeek) And have emailed a couple of companies asking if they could help us by reducing the costs etc.. Hoping someone will help us because around 7 of the senior dancers are prepared to jump..

But then the ideas stop.. can anyone think of any fun ideas which may bring in some fair cash I know its going to be more difficult because they are not a charity just a self funded dance troupe.. but every little helps I guess..

Thank you for your time in reading

Tracey

Are you properly constituted, or are you a business? If you have a constitution, what are your objects?

  • Hi Tracey,
I've got a list of fundraising ideas on my website - don't think I can post the link here but my web address is on my profile.

If they are a good troupe and often dance at events, then maybe you could look into getting their bus sponsored? Speak to a local dealership and ask if they would be prepared to sponsor a minibus in return for their advertising on the side/back.
You may get a decent discount, and I know that some dealerships when they enter into this sort of agreement will sort out the servicing of the vehicle too.

Is it possible that the troupe could perform somewhere that is busy (Manchester City Council will have to agree it) and pass a bucket around for donations....?
Why does nobody say Thank You anymore??
