How Strict are Thomas Cook for Carry-on Baggage?

Off to Canada on saturday and just realised might have a bit of a problem with a new rucksack I bought a few months back. If I must I'll put it in my hold luggage, but wondering how strict TC are when checking in

Website states max 43 x 28 x 23cm
My rucksack is 53 x 30 x 16cm

Rucksacks are 'squidgeable' (providing you don't stuff them absolutely full with baked beans/beer...) - if the 53cm height is due to a frame, you can always take this out and bung it in the hold bag.

You'd be unlucky to be checked unless obviously oversize, but pays to plan ahead.
