    Cheating Chocolate Mousse

    1 bar Toblerone
    1 tub marscapone
small serving bowls (espresso cups ideal)

Melt the Toblerone in a glass bowl over a pan. Take it off the heat and stir in the marscapone. Spoon into espresso cups and chill till firm. Don't attempt to eat more than one in case your arteries explode.

Think I used double cream and melted choc, can't really remember exactly but I do remember thinking 'blimey this is not healthy'

which no one ever fully eats :O
Love is the answer. At least for most of the questions in my heart,
Like why are we here? And where do we go?And how come it's so hard?
It's not always easy,And sometimes life can be deceiving,
I'll tell you one thing, its always better when we're together

    We are fairly traditional:

    Starter: OH makes pea soup
Main: Turkey (free range from butcher), Roast Potato, Veg, Sausage in bacon, cranberry sauce, gravy
Pudding: Xmas Pudding & Clotted cream (which we always have about an hour later as we are all too full)

Evening: Turkey sandwiches, home made coleslaw, cheeseboard.

    Looking forward to it already.

Going to make my friend Fi's famous Banofee pie.

Biscuit base topped with sliced banana, a can of Carnation Caramel, Whipped cream and chocolate flake. Simply Gorgeous.

Thinking about making some Christmas Pudding ice-cream this year - figured it would be much lighter than the real thing - it's a lot of messing about though! And now I'm sorely tempted by eggnog cheesecake!!!

  • Wow. I am in awe of all of you. You are all so organised. I'm only just beginning to do my first lists for Christmas this year.

It's been years since I made a banofee as last time I was the only one that liked it and ate the lot!

So because I've forgotten how I made it, do you just layer the ingredients or mix the caramel and cream?

Just stumbled upon this. It's funny how so many people have the same thing every year as it's traditional in their house. At my mum's, dessert is always:
Christmas Pudding with brandy sauce (although I just like cream!)
    Trifle
    Vienetta for my fussy brother

Not sure where we will be this year. If I was making dinner, I would probably add a Bailey's Cheesecake into the mix, but you end up with far too much and everyone is always too full! But I wouldn't want to substitute anything for the Christmas Pudding as it's clearly the only time of year we have it!

When I make mine I sometimes use digestives and ginger nut biscuits for the base, then a double layer of bananas, then the carmel and I put the cream on top. I also put a little dollop of cream on top of that with a slice of banana and a little sprinkle of flake. Even though I make a 10" circle banoffee there is never enough!
