Disappearing Icons in Favorites Folder

I have a question which some may think is slightly bizarre but I wanted to know how I can stop the icons in favourite folder from disappearing?

I have placed a few sites in my favourites folder and next to each site name there is an coloured icon which makes it easier to find the site I need at a glance. The icons are now starting to be replaced with the “e” Internet Explorer symbols. Can this replacement of icons be stopped?

The icons are called 'favicons'

basically they disappear when the temp internet files folder is emptied

I had a problem with disappearing favicons when I used CCleaner. I asked for an answer on this forum about two months ago and FavOrg was suggested. I've installed it and can thoroughly recommend it.

The problem does not arise if you use Firefox
