Thats what most young adults do, I did thats for sure.

    weekend
Didn't know Teng tools had a lifetime guarantee, thats not bad at all, I was looking at the hammer with a hickory shaft on the same site for about a tenner actually, fancy it myself, if things weren't so tight.

I've so many tools I can't rememeber that well, what was expensive and what was cheap, all my drills are expensive.
Some of my stuff is cheap tbh, although when it breaks and they will, or they annoy me by being generally rubbish, I tend to upgrade to a better one.....If its needed. Actually I've just tried to think of a cheap tool I have that does the job.........not easy.
I think a set of chisels got from Argos a long time ago, is about the best, I've used maybe 3 out of the ten, probably about 10 times in 5 years and even then they're chipped!

I've got the DW drill you've got there from screwfix, but if you buy it get the one with the chuck in the package as well, that drill will then do everything you need around the house.
Although we've had a thread about this before, don't go for a cordless unless you have a very good reason, or you do very light work.

I think if you do a search on cordless drills it should bring the thread up.

Umm lee, could you tell us where the 15% discount card is for?

If you are investing in a half decent set of screwdrivers then learn the difference between Phillips and Pozidrive. Most folks think all crosshead screwdrivers are the same, but they're not. Most think one size fits all, but it doesn't. Learn to use the right driver for the screw and not only will it make the job easier but it will prevent damage to the screw head and/or screwdriver.
Nobody has mentioned a set of spanners yet. Halfords Professional range offer excellent value. They are more expensive than the cheapo Blackspur and Rolson stuff thats made from toffee but you get the same lifetime warranty that you get with Snap On and Mac.
As for drills, you can have the best drill in the world but if you use rubbish bits with it you'll get rubbish results. For DIY use you're most likely to be using masonry bits and wood bits. The really cheap sets are worthless unless you are drilling in really soft material like thermal block. The B&Q range of Pirhana bits a very good but pricey.
Light blue touchpaper and stand well back !
