Dyno rod complaints department details?

Hi all
Had a very frustrating day waiting in for a plumber that didn't arrive despite 4 phone calls and promises. Classic case of poor customer service. And as i've wasted a days holiday I am not best pleased (to put it mildly!!)
So i want to complain, not got anywhere with call centre so wondered if anyone had an email adress etc?

    I thought Dyno-Rod were a franchise business. Try British Gas, I think they own Dyno-Rod.

  • Dreamy is right - it's a franchise. Personally I would cut my losses and get a different firm in (someone local that depends on positive word of mouth rather than a national brand).

    My friend is a drainage engineer and can often be with you in the afternoon if you call in the morning.

  • I presume you have a home care policy though British Gas.

    If so, this means Dyno Services will carry out any drainage/fresh water problems you have. So contacting British Gas will not be much use, as they will need to put you though to them either way. They will not have any records of the service job.

    As it is the weekend, the likley chance is that there is only one engineer on-call for the whole weekend. That being Friday evening to Monday morning. So the poor chap who is on-call has a long weekend.

    Granted this is not your problem, but as this is the case, when you call the call center and they tell you x amount of minutes, this is what they have been told by the engineer, so the will be NO use in arguing with them. They can only tell you what they have been told.

    The direct complaints number is 020 8481 2701. If you want a direct manager it os 020 8481 2287 If you phone on the weekend, nothing can be done to Monday and you will be told you will get a call back on Monday. Local offices are closed on weekends.

    I have had the same problem before, so I saved the numbers!

    Also, I doubt it is poor customer service. As I have put, this is what they have been told by the engineer.

    I've waited in for three full days for Dyno Rod to turn up, I phoned them twice daily asking when to expect them to arrive, and on each occasion they apologised and promised someone would be here in a couple of hours.

    The last phone call ended in them just cancelling the appointment as they couldn't guarantee someone would be here in the morning.. what a complete waste of time.

    A bit of an update on Dyno Rod..

    It turns out Dyno Rod had no intentions of turning up, apparently the building is black listed due to the landlord not paying a previous bill, but instead of Dyno Rod telling me this, they pretended to let me think that everything was ok and that they would be out within the hour, they insisted on my debit card details even though I was going to pay cash (thought that was strange at the time).

    I then received a phonecall this morning from Dyno Rod (after the job was cancelled) to say that they may take this outstanding bill off MY debit card!!!, a bill which has nothing to do with me what so ever!!!

    How can a professional company phone me up to even consider taking money from my debit card for someone elses debt?.. they have my debit card details so whats to stop them.
