Thanks Ruby...I'm very much looking forward to the holiday, its been a long long time since I've had a proper one. Never been on a plane though so I'm a little nervous. I'm sure it'll be fine though.Natwest CC: £389.07 (limit £500)

Hi there, just wanted to say hello, have you posted an SOA? I think it would be useful as you say you want to reduce your debt and save some money up for your house, it would be good for you to show others what the figures are in case anyone can advise as to where you could make savings. Myself and my partner are on the budget to beat all budgets at the moment as have a debt to clear and are supposed to be getting married next year, as of today there is about £8 in our savings so a long way to go but like i say the budget is up and runnning!
It's nice to share your aims as well, like setting a target for savings/budget for spends so you can have a goal to aim for.
Well that's me, hop you are well, Love elle x x x0 -
Thanks elle, I had thought about an SOA, but the jobs I am in at the moment dont have fixed hours, therefore no fixed wage, making an SOA very difficult to put together. Ditto for the budget, its turning into more of a week by week mission. At the same time though I dont have that much going out, live with my parents so no big bills to pay.
Taking this into account I should be finding it pretty easy to get the debt down...but I've only had a tiny income from one of my jobs over the summer months, and my other job the contract ends on Nov 1st. Its all very unstable, and proving difficult to plan ahead with any real structure.Natwest CC: £389.07 (limit £500)

I know it can be hard when you don't have a set income, maybe you could work out your avaerage income per week, or base all of your figures on the lowest weekly income, then anything over your lowest income would be a bonus. We budget based on our basic wage after tax, then any commision my partner earns, or any call out payments i get are bonus money! Just a thought
Anyway, keep up the diary, and focus on your motivation of wanting that beautiful house with your man!

Morning all
I'm actually looking forward to the flying now, 3 weeks today we'll be there, or nearly there anyway.
Back to present day though...I am skint!! Not paid til Monday and have to go out in town tonight for my sisters birthday.
Currently waiting for the boy to arrive as we have to go fix his mates car, the bright spark put petrol in instead of diesel!! Now I know its his best mate, and I know they have money troubles more than we do, but I also know he wont get any money for this job, or the service he did on it a couple of weeks ago, or the part he'll more than likely be fitting on it today :mad::mad: and it's taking up most of our Saturday...is that selfish of me to say that???
In other news, the tax office wound me up yesterday when I phoned to check the status of my rebate claim that I sent in 8 weeks ago...it hasn't even been processed yet "so give us a call back in a couple of weeks if you haven't heard anything and we'll check it again then":mad::mad: If my estimations are right they owe me about £600
Start my school placement this week, and I've been praying that the school I'm going into has lost a member of its support staff over the summer and the head is just going to automatically offer me a paid position in the school...then all my money issues could just melt away...wishful thinking eh!!Will be working super hard when I get there though, I need a glowing reference and a great evidence diary to even stand half a chance of getting on the PGCE...keep your fingers crossed for me.Natwest CC: £389.07 (limit £500)

Happy Monday everyone.
Managed a relatively low spend weekend considering I had to go out on Saturday with my darling big sis!!!
Today I have so far and will hopefully spend a big fat nothing...and I'm hoping for much of the same until Thursday when it is the boys sisters 21st so we are all going out for tea...Her fave place is a buffet place though (Taybarns anyone???) so I'm expecting we'll be going there so only spend just over £20.
Need to sort out our travel insurance this week though, so I'm expecting that to be about £40 and my £60 credit card bill needs paying by the 18th. Small Lottery win this week please. xxxxxxxxxNatwest CC: £389.07 (limit £500)

Just been inspired by the 1 debt vs 100 days challenge...so I will make a payment of £5 per day (£35 per week) to my student mastercard...and with a bit of luck it'll be cleared before Christmas :j:j:j:jNatwest CC: £389.07 (limit £500)
