Rads off a back boiler help

Hi there!

I'm looking at getting a new wood burning stove to heat my house this will run 10 radiators and heat my water or so the spec says.

Anyone know of any good detailed websites i could look at to give me an idea of how to install radiators that will run from the wood burning stove back boiler. I assume i will need a header tank pump and other stuff. i just need to know what i need and the best way to install as i'm going to give it a go myself (Try and save some cash)

Regards

Mr B

Just go with a basic gas system and put the wood burner in instead.

Boombastic - could be an appropriate name if you install it yourself ;-). I'm no expert but have casually read there are fairly strict regulations (ie registered installers only a bit like Corgi) about the flue, and also about designing the system such that the intense heat from the wood burner doesn't get to boiling point and has some release of heat if required.

I did quite fancy the look of thermal store systems from heatweb.com, there was one set up with a gas boiler connected, a wood burner and a solar panel all connected and designed such that the gas boiler is only there for topping up when more heat is needed than was supplied by the wood burner.

I put my own system in 2 years ago after failing to find anyone who 'got' the concept of CH powered by a woodburner.
Your looking at a basic open vented system but you alos need a heat sink rad that'll waste the heat shoud the pump fail along with a safety valve close to boiler, they're both belt and braces but when the waters boiling away in the pipes its nice to know that they're there :)

all the old back boilers used to use a heat sink rad for safety.
used to see a lot of houses with just one rad in the lounge.
    Get some gorm.
