Energywise UK (UPVC windows & Doors)

Hi all,
As some of you may be aware i've recently bought a run down house and i'm in the process of tidying it up.
The rear windows are single glazed, and due to a grant system and my postcode i qualify for 1/3 off the price of the windows i want to replace (regardless of income etc)
The company that came to measure up/price the windows is a small firm with very little information available on the web (Hamiltons, Widnes).
I just wondering if anyone has had any dealings with Energywise UK before, and has anything to offer in terms of advice.
Just so you all know, i've had competitive quotes at £2,250.
Hamiltons are basically offering £3,000 less 1/3 = me paying £2000 :j
There are no upfront payment catches, and everything seems above board

I would be very cautious about this. My parents have had a dreadful experience with this company - they resonded to an ad in the local paper advertising grants off new doors and windows. In June, two "new" doors were fitted which turned out to be second-hand doors, repainted! Since then, they have been waiting for the company to put things right and have been fobbed off with excuse after excuse (job needs scaffolding, bad weather, contactors ill, tragic accident in family). I'm now trying to get in touch with the company, but unfortunately my parents have got very little info for me go on other than the company does a lot of work in the Manchester/Liverpoool area. They handed over £2100, and feel like they have been well and truly conned.0

Pat,
I'm so sorry to hear that, i'd actually forgotten i'd posted this, but as it turned out i went with someone else, as i could never get in touch with them and i was really concerned that this might not work out so well. Even they messed things up as the company i ended up using went bust so i had to get a 3rd company involved, and i'm now trying to recover my deposit from company nr 2
Wish you parents luck0
